Epilogue: My work schedule prevented my spending more time watching the eagles. By the end of April, I was fairly certain the eagles did not have a chick. Hopefully next year...

Friday, April 9, 9:10am: I arrived at my viewing spot at 8:20. Both eagles were absent from the nest. There is still no sign of the chicks. At 9:10, both eagles circled the nest, with this one carrying part of a fresh kill which he (she?) deposited in the nest. The kill looks like a rabbit.
